PAUL MICHAEL MUNCY
Mr. Muncy is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the ALLIED Family of Companies.
After 10 years as a coal mine electrical supervisor, for a Youngstown Sheet and Tube wholly owned subsidiary, Mr. Muncy became Vice-President of a coal mining company in West Virginia which provided coal on the metallurgical spot market in Germany. He subsequently assumed a title of "Director of Training". After leaving the mining industry, he worked at a 5000 employee facility, as a critical line supervisor in the Aluminum Smelting and Rolling Industries. He reported directly to the plant manager and was a "fire brigade" leader. He was responsible for all craft positions including hydraulics, electrical, combustion and process instrumentation, machinists, plumbers, lubrication specialists and outage planners.
With the initiation of OSHA "Lock Out-Tag Out" policies, he was also assigned the task of writing "Job Safe Procedures" which took into account all forms of energy that may be encountered by craftsperson’s. These included accumulators, spring tension, air-steam-hydraulic pressures, electrical shock, ambient and process temperatures, radiation, slip and fall, noise levels, positive tie-off, confined space ingress and egress, bridge /gantry cranes, srtong back rigging to 600 tons, lighting, ventilation, barricades, authorized personnel and operations in emergency conditions. Muncy obtained HAZMAT licenses in South Carolina, Maryland and West Virginia and directed critical response crews on military bases, chemical plants and rail road wreck cleanup sites.
He also acquired the stock of a publically traded oil company based in Phoenix, Arizona. Following the Carl Ican business model, he did a hostile take over. Using "time and motion" study, he operated the oil company by leaning the overhead and spinning off un-needed real estate and assets. He concentrated on the core business of oil production and tertiary stimulation of Pennsylvanian Basin stripper wells.
While working in the mining industry, Mr. Muncy designed and built a prototype diode braking system for track haulage equipment and sold the rights to Ingersol-Rand. He has been instrumental in developing five other patents and owns the formula for Allied Performance Solvent, a compound and process he personally developed to suspend paraffin crystals in "light sweet crude" during production and up-hole cooling.
Currently Mr. Muncy is Chairman of the Board of Allied Energy Services Corporation and has diligently worked to move that company from "fossil fuel" production to "green energy". Allied is heavily involved in providing clean water solutions and "green energy" by using Plasma Arc Technology in the conversion process of hydrogen and carbon rich feedstock’s. These feedstock’s reutilize existing carbon footprint products and do not require mining of new oil or coal. These recycled materials can include spent automotive tires, municipal solid waste, belt pressed sewage, chemical residues and coal. Allied embraces and promotes clean technology and is working with other industries to help bring the United States to energy independence.
Because of Mr. Muncy's business alignment with policies that are embraced by LED Lighting Solutions, LLC, he has taken a board position with that New York corporation. Mr. Muncy also sits on the board of Allied Plasma Energy Services, Acme Land Company, Great American Petroleum Corporation, and WillowTree Media Group, LLC. He is involved in historical preservation and enjoys "Steam Railroad" equipment.
He enjoys technical reading and writing and holds Carl Ican, T.Boone Pickens, Lee Iacocca and Ford Motor Company Management in high esteem. Mr. Muncy acted under the screen name P. Michael Munsey, Broker Number 2, in the movie MATEWAN, a docudrama, filmed at Thurmond, West Virginia. This movie may be viewed through HULU, by clicking the link above.
The movie tells the story of the "coal mine wars" of the 1920's and the union struggles to organize in the coal fields. The movie was released in 1987. Muncy was a Corporate Director and Chief Mechanical Officer of St. Albans 2700 Preservation and Restoration Society, Inc., the Museum Foundation, that was instruental in providing the vintage Caboose, rail cars and NKP 765 Lima Steam Locomotive for use in the movie.
