STEAM ENGINE: Project For Refurbishing and Preservation

The "City of St. Albans" 2700 as it sat at 6st Street and 6st Avenue, Saint Albans, West Virginia under the protection of its West Virginia Owners;

In 1986 the 2700 Preservation and Restoration Society executed a 25 year to lease the engine to (S.T.E.A.M.) Silver Throttle Engine Association Museum in Canton, Ohio for the purpose of full restoration to excursion service.

STEAM ENGINE: Project For Refurbishing and Preservation

S.T.E.A.M had worthy aspirations, and stripped the engine so it could be remanufactured where rust and other deficiencies existed.

City of St. Albans (2700) Cab and Sand Dome sit on ground behind Esber Beverage in Canton, Ohio.

Other Appliances and parts were removed for repair and "Safe Keeping".

Main Frame and Wheel-set stripped of Jacketing and Appliances

Tinder was Detached.
